A few words from Cyrus
We are wrapping up another year at Syska Hennessy, and it's been a busy one. We are thankful to our clients and, most of all, to our employees for their hard work.
This issue of Connections covers a wide range of projects and topics. We start off with a look at our work with Supernal and with the Seattle Convention Center. If you’re interested in healthcare, check out the article on the seismic upgrades at Providence Tarzana hospital in Los Angeles.
Across the river from Manhattan is Long Island City, where Hatch Life Sciences is located. This lab building once housed a parachute factory, and we worked on the conversion. To learn about a different kind of conversion -- from office to residential -- read the recap of a panel discussion that took place at Urban Land Institute’s fall conference.
If you haven’t seen our latest corporate sustainability report, you can check it out here.
But sustainability at Syska isn’t just a one-time exercise. That’s why we’ve included an insightful article on MEP 2040 and building electrification in this issue.
Catch up on the latest news from Syska Innovations and read about our first-ever app. Yes, we developed an app! It’s a ductulator that helps size equipment and guide users through initial calculations. (P.S. It's free, so we encourage you to download it from the Apple app store or Google Play.)
Finally, in this issue you’ll find updates on our people, awards, and office events in the U.S. and around the world.
We hope you enjoy this latest edition of Connections. And as we close 2024, we wish you wonderful holiday season.
