Pioneering Industry Innovations

Like SI, AEC Angels has been busy in recent months. For instance, the platform announced an investment in Enviro Power, a later-stage energy technology company that has developed the SmartWatt Boiler. AEC Angels considers the product a breakthrough because it generates close-to-zero-cost electricity, provides backup power, and potentially can lower electric bills for millions of buildings while improving grid resiliency and reducing carbon footprints. As Dan Nadav, CEO of Enviro Power, describes it, the boiler is essentially “a high-efficiency heating system with a power plant inside.”

That’s exactly what the SmartWatt Boiler offers.” He adds that it is competitively priced, which should further increase demand.
The investment follows AEC Angels’ earlier investments in Rhumbix and OpenSpace. Rhumbix automates construction field reporting, and OpenSpace uses artificial intelligence to create 360-degree representations of construction sites. Both technologies increase efficiencies and improve workflows.
“Unfortunately, the AEC industry overall is not recognized for its embrace of innovation,” Cyrus points out. “AEC Angels is working hard to change perceptions while bringing truly groundbreaking products to market.”
