A few words from Gary and Cyrus

As the year comes to an end, we are feeling thankful for all that we have accomplished and hopeful for the year ahead. Even with all the uncertainties that the pandemic has challenged us with we continue to learn, adjust, and build on relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners. Together we continue to work on great projects to support our built environment.

It’s been a tremendous year. Our team continues to push in new and exciting directions to create meaningful projects all to sustain a better tomorrow.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all our clients that have trusted us with their projects. In this issue we spotlight light industrial facilities and the role sustainability plays in development , we will also look at an innovation hub showcasing workplaces best practices with Accenture, and we will review the creative approach our lighting team took on The Scripps Institution of Oceanology.

You will see our continued efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion with a feature on our diversity supplier program. And in a continued celebration of people and projects allow us to introduce you to this year’s winners of our internal awards program named the Vision Awards.

In our last issue, we introduced our Innovations program at Syska Hennessy. This issue will showcase two articles, one from our Chief Technical Officer Rob Ioanna and one from 35 years in our “From the Archives” feature by G.V. Ramu.

It’s been a tremendous year. Our team continues to push in new and exciting directions to create meaningful projects all to sustain a better tomorrow.

We hope you enjoy these articles and the other ones included in this issue. As always, we welcome your feedback about Connections.
